Our client is looking for a Financial Advocate to join their healthcare team in Robbinsdale, MN!

This initial 8-week contract opportunity (likely of a direct hire for the right candidate) offers a pay rate of $28.50 / hour (benefits are available). We are only interested in candidates who are interested in a long-term position.

Schedule : Monday-Friday 7 : 30am-4 : 00pm

The Patient Financial Advocate's primary function is to perform a thorough financial screening of patients. This position is primary contact for patient education in areas of insurance benefits, levels of coverage, and billing and collection processes.

Responsibilities include :

• Ensuring that all accounts have been cleared for billing, obtaining insurance authorization for services, securing payment arrangements (including collection of co- payment / coinsurance) prior to patient discharge and for major outpatient services
• Identification of other potential payment sources (including Financial Assistance program, initiating / completing the Medical Assistance application process),
• Providing costs estimates
