We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist for a 7-day inpatient locum tenens assignment in Massachusetts, starting Dec 19, 2025. This opportunity features a Friday-to-Friday call structure with responsibilities across the floor, ED, ICU, and includes emergent consults and endoscopies as needed. Candidates must have an active MA license and BLS certification. Job Details Location : Massachusetts Start Date : Dec 19, 2025 LOA : 7 days Provider Type Needed : Gastroenterologist Schedule : Inpatient, call structure approximately 1 : 4; Friday 4pm to Friday 4pm; includes floor, ED, ICU coverage, emergent consults, endoscopies, and carrying a beeper overnight Responsibilities and Duties Perform esophageal dilatation and manometry Interpret esophageal manometry studies Conduct small bowel biopsies Perform lower GI endoscopy and sigmoidoscopy Conduct colonoscopies Perform liver biopsies Provide care for adult inpatients in hospital, gastroenterology, and endoscopy settings Respond to emergent consults and procedures as required Additional Information Board Certification or Eligibility in Gastroenterology required; BC preferred Active Massachusetts medical license required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required ERCP certification is a plus but not mandatory No outpatient gastroenterology or internal medicine responsibilities Onsite lab and X-ray available Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
