Project Engineer (Entry Level) (Austin)

Overall responsibility

Preparing preliminary analysis on a variety of technical tasks.

Involved in assignments that continue to develop abilities in area of specialty.

Makes independent decisions about assigned areas of responsibility.

Key job duties (not exhaustive)

• Survey, design file, temp sheet, and temp sheet overall clean up
• Prepare basic calculations
• Schedule project deliverables
• Collect, organize, and evaluate data
• Organize and file project materials and references
• Analyze systems utilizing computer modeling
• Develop, evaluate, and design specifications and contract drawing
• Vehicle tracking, Utility flowlines, and Pipe conflicts
• Complete public plans - plan and profiles water, storm, HCFCD outfall wastewater, left turn lane, traffic control plan, details
• Pavement design understand geotechnical report, paving details
• Sidewalk design
• Public plan signatures : COH, AT&T, CPE
• TxDOT driveway permit
• FEMA floodplain information
• FIS profiles
• Sheet design : SWPPP, SWQMP, TCP, Dimension Control, Utility Plan, Drainage Area Map, Drainage Spreadsheet, Details Sheets
• Works closely with project and task team leaders
• Maintain regular and prompt attendance at WGA Houston office
• Perform other duties as assigned
