We are on our way to achieving many industry firsts. This demands an ambitious team that thrives on challenges, takes ownership, and collaborates deeply. We are seeking a highly skilled and mission-driven Mission Systems Engineer to architect and integrate end-to-end mission and ground solutions. .
What you will do :
This role emphasizes ground systems and mission integration, while maintaining awareness of spacecraft and payload interfaces. It also requires an understanding of diverse sensor data types and how the ground system must manage tasking, ingest, processing and delivery of data to end users.
As part of a cross-functional team, you will collaborate with SW developers, systems engineers, operations team, vendors and customers to design innovative, scalable, and cost-effective solutions for international, government and commercial space missions.
Responsibilities :
Lead architectural design of end-to-end mission solutions, from ground segment, data systems, and mission operations
Develop system concepts, trade studies, and CONOPS that align ground and mission operations with overall mission objectives
Serve as the technical interface to customers, translating mission requirements into feasible technical solutions
Collaborate with subsystem experts across ground, software, and spacecraft domains to
ensure design compatibility and integration
Define and document system-level interfaces, data flows, and communication protocols between space and ground assets
Manage roadmap for sensor data integration into the ground system and define approach for evolving ground capabilities to deliver greater value and functionality to end users
Support mission analysis, operations concepts, and performance modeling as they relate to ground and mission systems
Participate in proposals, customer briefings, and technical reviews, articulating the value and feasibility of mission architectures
Identify and manage technical risks, propose mitigation strategies, and support program management with technical insights
Stay current on emerging ground, mission and sensor data technologies and industry trends to ensure innovative solutions

Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
5+ years of experience in ground systems engineering, mission architecture, or similar roles
Proven experience architecting or supporting mission integration between spacecraft and ground segment
Strong knowledge with ground segment infrastructure, including TT&C, Ground terminals, data processing, and ground software systems
Familiarity of satellite subsystems (communications, power, thermal, payload integration)
Proficient in systems engineering tools (e.g., MBSE, SysML, DOORS, Cameo, STK, MATLAB)
Familiarity with spacecraft design
Experience with sensor data workflows, including tasking, ingest, processing and delivery to end users
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Compensation :
The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $170,000 per year, depending on previous experience. Pay ranges are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data.
