Job Description | Service & Beverage Manager
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervision, training and development of front of house team members with the General Manager
- Provide leadership during service
- Act as the sommelier regarding guests inquiring about wine .
- Interact with guests and serve customers as required and make recommendations.
- Assist staff with wine and beverage service when appropriate .
- Serve as the manager on duty as required by the General Manager.
- Complete any and all daily manager tasks when MOD.
- In collaboration with ownership and management, develop and maintain an appropriate wine , beer and spirit list consistent with the restaurant’s mission regarding style, size, range of offerings, mark ups, inventory management, wine list production.
- Maximiz e profit through proper management .
- Support bar team to drive cocktail program
Maintaining the POS system regarding the beverage program
Ensure proper entry procedures, department coding, tax codes, etc.Ensure a ccurate counts in Toast. Frequently analyze organization and pricing.Compliance
Ensur e the restaurant is in compliance with ABRA rules and regulations including managing certification, signage, etc.Monthly Inventory Management
Maintain physical inventory and completing inventory counts in a timely manner .Ens ure proper receiving, invoice processing and cleanliness of the wine roomAnalyz e costs and salesFamiliariz ation with wine pricing and market trends throughout the city and nationTrain staff including B artender & S ervers on all beverages, and B artender development
Participate in daily training at pre-shift meeting and other regularly scheduled staff trainingInspire staff to continually learn more about the beverage programAssist in any other duties as requested including but not limited to :
