Thanks (thanks.co) is hiring an Implementation & Integrations Engineer to join our US team and play a founding role in ensuring seamless technical onboarding across our advertising platform. You'll collaborate with our sales, account management, product and engineering teams to execute our vision of creating the only ad network where everyone wins. This role bridges our technical platform and our advertising partners, owning end-to-end technical onboarding of advertisers and publishers, ensuring campaigns are launched and tracked properly. It combines hands-on technical troubleshooting with partner-facing problem solving, acting as the voice of the customer to translate needs into product enhancements.
We're seeking a technically minded problem solver who thrives at the intersection of customer success and ad tech. You'll need strong debugging skills, advertising domain knowledge, and the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear, actionable solutions for non-technical stakeholders. This is an opportunity to build processes from the ground up while directly impacting revenue growth and partner satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Technical Partner Onboarding : Set up new advertisers and publishers in our admin system, conduct comprehensive testing to ensure campaigns display correctly, tracking functions properly, and all technical integrations work seamlessly from day one
- Campaign Quality Assurance : Perform QA to verify image quality and aspect ratios, copy accuracy and formatting, targeting configurations, and identify technical errors through browser console monitoring and end-to-end testing
- Technical Troubleshooting & Integration Support : Debug complex ad tech integrations using Chrome DevTools, track HTTP requests and errors, and ensure accurate data flow across systems including CRMs, tracking platforms, and partner networks
- Cross-Platform Data Validation : Verify tracking accuracy for CPL, CPA, and CPC campaigns by cross-referencing data across databases, UserFlux, networks, and partner systems to ensure accurate reporting and budget management
- Process Development & Documentation : Create and maintain onboarding guides, QA processes, and technical documentation; provide partner feedback to product and engineering teams
Requirements
Web Debugging Expertise : Ability to track and trace HTTP requests, identify errors, and troubleshoot web-based integrations using Chrome DevTools or similar toolsTechnical Foundation : Understanding of web authentication methods (API keys, bearer tokens, JWTs), DNS, HTML, CSS, JSON, query strings, caching, and iframes; SQL skills for database comparison and analysisAdvertising Domain Experience : Understanding of campaign performance monitoring and optimization, pixel / UTM tracking, and advertising metrics and attribution modelsAffiliate Marketing Knowledge : Experience with Impact, CJ Affiliate, Rakuten, Partnerize, or Awin; understanding of tracking, attribution, conversion events, partner setup, and reporting feedsCommunication Excellence : Ability to explain complex technical issues in non-technical terms, set clear expectations and timelines, and respond empathetically to partner feedbackProblem-Solving Mindset : Methodical approach to diagnosing technical issues with strong pattern recognition and the ability to manage multiple onboarding timelinesDetail-Oriented & Data-Driven : Strong attention to detail for campaign accuracy and ability to analyze data for trends and insightsStartup Mentality : Self-motivated, organized, adaptable to rapid change, and comfortable with ambiguity while building and improving processesNice to have but learnable in the role : Familiarity with major ad serving platforms (e.g., Google Ad Manager) and their integration patterns; understanding of CORS, X-Frame-Options, CSP, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configurations; TypeScript proficiency for reading / debugging code
Experience as a solutions engineer, implementation engineer, integration engineer, or a similar role focused on technical onboarding is key.
