Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Plattsburgh, NY 12901 (Northern New York healthcare jobs) Setting : Medical-Surgical Telemetry, Resource Pool (Float to R5, R6, R7, and other telemetry units) Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Shift : 12-hour Nights Hours per Week : 36 Assignment Duration : 16 weeks (potential extension available) Start Date : December 29, 2025 Weekend / Holiday Requirements : Every other weekend; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas / Christmas Eve, New Year's Day / Eve) Orientation : 1 day Documentation System : EPIC (recent experience required) Estimated Weekly Salary : $2100-$2250 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active NY RN license or proof of application (New York nursing jobs require current licensure; NY licensing may take 6-8 weeks) Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience as a Med / Surg Telemetry RN Minimum 1 year of specialty experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry American Heart Association BLS certification (required) NIH Stroke Scale certification (required prior to start) EPIC documentation experience within the past 2 years (mandatory) CMSRN certification preferred Reliable personal or rental transportation (public transportation not available) Ability to float to multiple units as scheduled Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in Medical-Surgical Telemetry units, including Oncology, Orthopedics, and Urology Float between units (R5, R6, R7, and other telemetry units) and provide care for ED HOLD patients as needed Perform unit-specific procedures : IVs, bladder scans, blood draws from central lines, and glucose monitoring Accurately document patient care using EPIC electronic health records Collaborate with CNAs, PCTs, and unit clerks to achieve optimal patient outcomes Maintain professional appearance in navy blue and white scrubs (solid colors in any combination) Follow facility protocols and standards, including grooming and jewelry guidelines Participate in scheduled rotations, including weekends and holidays Experience the charm of Plattsburgh while working as a Travel Registered Nurse in a supportive, innovative hospital environment.
