Responsibilities Position is in a 349-bed acute care teaching hospital with a Level 2 trauma designation Covers general surgical, oncology, nephrology, and post-surgical patient populations Night shift schedule, 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM, with weekend and holiday work as needed May float to all Med / Surg floors, ED hold unit, and Observation Unit (Legacy Annex) Utilizes telemetry monitoring and interpretation, with blood product administration and temperature management responsibilities Uses equipment including chest tubes, CPAP / BiPap, trachs, drains, feeding tubes, epidural and PCA pumps, central lines, Port-A-Cath, wound vacs, and others Cerner EMR is used at this facility Responsibilities include care of a range of medical-surgical, oncology, and nephrology patients, including complex post-surgical cases Requires competency with advanced support devices such as trachs, central lines, and wound vacs Team members are expected to float as needed throughout multiple units Two recent professional references from a manager or above are required for consideration Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a reduced rate Completion of facility-required online modules prior to assignment is required Returning travelers undergo a review process to determine eligibility Requirements Active NY RN license is required Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum of 3 years RN experience in an acute care setting Experience with telemetry monitoring, advanced line and device management, and post-surgical patient care Experience with Cerner EMR preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621454.
