Project Engineer – Electrical

Job Description

Expert Technical Solutions is seeking a Project Electrical Engineer to work with an employee-owned engineering firm which prioritizes its people, fostering growth and innovation. They've built a world-class team focused on sustainable water resource management. Their engineers are committed to innovative, efficient design that treats, preserves, and conserves water resources, optimizes infrastructure, and creates a cleaner, safer future for communities. This role will be based in either Tampa, FL or Clearwater, FL.

DAY-TO-DAY : This role leads project teams in developing and completing engineering projects, ensuring they stay within budget and schedule. It encompasses the entire project lifecycle, from design to completion, involving direct client interaction for evaluations, reports, technical specifications, drawings, and permit submittals. The position requires balancing multiple tasks across projects while coordinating RFIs, submittals, and contract modifications. Furthermore, it involves analyzing processes for efficiency and cost reduction, troubleshooting problems with Project Managers, coordinating with other departments, and participating in necessary site, agency, and municipal meetings.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED :

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer registration or the ability to acquire registration quickly through reciprocity.
  • 10+ years professional experience required.
  • Design and plan production experience utilizing AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical and / or Revit.
  • Experience with Arc Flash software such as eTap or SKM.
  • Extensive knowledge of the NEC.
  • Candidates are required to have a valid driver's license, an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record, and are required to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
