Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preconstruction Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the preconstruction phase, from conceptualization to project initiation, ensuring seamless transition from preconstruction to construction. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver successful projects.
Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, fostering a collaborative and mutually beneficial working environment.
- Leads and manages the preconstruction process, including design management, budget control, and procurement.
- Collaborates with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive preconstruction plans and strategies.
- Conducts thorough analysis and evaluation of project scopes, requirements, and specifications to identify potential risks, challenges, and opportunities.
- Utilizes value engineering techniques to optimize project costs without compromising quality or functionality.
- Provides leadership, guidance, and mentorship to preconstruction staff, promoting professional growth and development within the team.
- Stays current with industry trends, best practices, and innovations in preconstruction methodologies, technologies, and materials.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master's degree preferred).Minimum of 7 years of experience within the industry.Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering preconstruction services for complex projects of varying scope and scale.Expertise in means & methods, budgeting, scheduling, and procurement.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks and challenges.Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Culture & Values
