Responsibilities Work in a large hospital setting on a Medical Surgical unit at a Level I Trauma Center Patient ratios up to 1 : 7 with team nursing model supported by PCC, LPN, and others Night shifts, 3x12 hour schedule from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00 Floating may occur between similar units and campuses within 20 miles, but is rare between campuses Weekend and on-call shifts may be required Cerner EMR is used, experience preferred Deliver comprehensive care to a diverse adult med / surg patient population in a fast-paced environment Work as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team utilizing team nursing structure Must be willing to work holidays if assignment includes Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's; expectation to work 2 of the 3 holidays if applicable, or 1 of 2 if only two fall during assignment Dress code requires appropriate scrubs per hospital policy Certification renewal plans must be arranged if any expire during assignment Requirements Active TN or compact RN license required, no pending licenses accepted Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Medical Surgical nursing and Level I Trauma Center required, 3 years preferred At least 1 completed travel assignment required; first-time travelers will not be considered Large hospital experience required Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) accepted for this position Current BLS certification required All time-off requests must be declared at time of application No local candidates accepted; strict 100-mile radius rule applies Returning employees must have a minimum 1-year break in service before eligibility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624041.
