About The Position

Fetal Monitoring

Must-Have :

Epic experience required

Proficient in dysrhythmia interpretation

Description :

Night shift with 3 twelve-hour shifts.

Every other weekend and holiday rotation as needed.

First-time travelers welcome.

Patient ratio of 1 nurse to 3 patients.

Requirements :

Experience with the following patient diagnoses :

Antepartum

Postpartum with telemetry or continuous pulse oximetry

Postpartum magnesium

Postpartum intrauterine fetal demise

Responsibilities :

Administration of blood and blood products.

Assist with high-risk delivery.

Assist with vaginal delivery.

Care for mother and baby postpartum.

Maintain central lines.

Recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.

Discharge teaching to parents.

Provide breastfeeding support and lactation guidance.

Perform sterile vaginal exams.

Interpret telemetry.

Administer medications including intravenous therapy.

Participate in patient education and care management.

Additional Information :

Floating may be required within different units as needed.

The facility emphasizes teamwork and collaboration among interdisciplinary support teams.
