Overview

Handle personal injury case files from start to finish; evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients; draft, review, and modify claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, memoranda, and other legal documents; research case law and premises liability; gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case; communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather information; negotiate suitable agreements and settlements on behalf of clients; make court appearances at hearings and trials, attend mediations, depositions, and litigation throughout the state of California; document and update the status of all case files in case management systems; manage a team of paralegals, legal assistants, case managers, and legal secretaries; track work calendar and deadlines in accordance with the California Code of Civil Procedure; calculate costs and prepare settlement breakdowns for clients and insurance providers.
