Job Overview :

Our Purpose dictates that each person who visits one of our properties leaves with a feeling of belonging and importance.  It is the General Manager’s responsibility to assure that the property and every team member on property is prepared and acting so that this feeling of importance and belonging is created for each customer during each of their visits. Our General Manager will work collaboratively to support engagement with our guests through our online offering and their property offerings.  Our General Manager will live and champion our Purpose and Values at their property.  Our General Manager will work with the other senior level managers of our Company to develop Company plans and objectives that he or she will then implement at their property.  Our General Manager will understand the local communities surrounding our property and champion adjustments to Company plans and objectives that make our presence a better fit within the surrounding communities.

Job Requirements : (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying )

  • Core leadership and interpersonal competencies required :

Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with team members at all levels of the organization and to work effectively with and support a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community;

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead the leadership of all  property  departments and divisions resulting in success of the Property;
  • Demonstrated ability to simultaneously successfully manage multiple large projects;
  • Demonstrated ability to de-escalate and resolve stressful situations (involving both customers and team members) while minimizing harm to the involved parties;
  • Demonstrated willingness to adopt and champion the Wind Creek Hospitality Purpose and Values;
  • Professional level written and verbal communication and presentation.

  • Technical Capability required :
  • Adept at understanding the local and regional area and providing a property and service that is more appealing to customers than what they can receive at a competing property;
  • Adept at reading and interpreting accounting and financial reports and demonstrated ability to develop financial plans and manage resources;
  • Working knowledge of gaming industry processes, procedures, and technology in a Class III environment;
  • Working knowledge of Responsible Gaming expectations and practices;
  • Working knowledge of Title 31 and AML requirements;
  • Working knowledge of gaming regulatory environments.

  • Education and Experience required :
  • Fifteen (15) years of casino gaming supervisory experience with progressive advancement

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and :
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with demonstrated success working for a large company (more than 500 employees) as the senior leader (Director level) or above of one or more of the following departments : Hotel Operations, Gaming Operations, F&B Operations, Finance, IT, or Marketing Operations; And

  • Minimum of 5 years as a General Manager or above of a property in a competitive market that has 2 or more competing properties within 30 miles that has a minimum of 1,000 slots and table positions; And
  • Other experience gained through one of the following :
  • Two (2) years’ experience in addition to the five (5) years’ experience required as a General Manager or Vice President or above at a AAA 4 Diamond Casino Resort (or equivalent) with more than 1,500 gaming positions. For Wind Creek Hospitality properties that offer both gaming machines and table games,  two (2) years’ experience must be from Casino Resort properties that offer both gaming machines and table games; or

  • ii.  Other skills, Education, and Experience preferred :
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance related discipline, Marketing, or IT related discipline - preferred

  • Strong Casino Marketing background - preferred
  • Skill in implementing new strategies and procedures- preferred
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management- preferred
  • Knowledge of communication and public relation techniques- preferred
  • Other conditions required :
  • Work odd and irregular hours including nights, holidays, promotions and weekends;
  • Live within 25 miles of the property to respond in a timely manner to employee, guest, or operational issues;
  • Travel and participation in training as recommended or required;
  • Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke / secondary smoke environment;
  • Have or ability to obtain a Gaming License from the jurisdiction with oversight of the property.
  • Base Pay :

  • Pay range - $175,000.00 - $287,500.00 (The base pay will depend on factors such as experience level and skillset.)
