Diesel Service Technician
Pureflow Inc. is searching for a Diesel Automotive Technician for our affiliate company, D&N.
JOB DESCRIPTION : A Diesel Service Technician is responsible for diagnostics, repair, and general maintenance of a fleet of gas and diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, such as cars, trucks and heavy machinery. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting engine and system issues, and ensuring vehicles and machinery meet safety and performance standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES :
- Diagnostics and Troubleshooting : Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify issues with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Repairs and Maintenance : Perform repairs and preventative maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, brake repairs, and exhaust system checks.
- Engine Rebuilds : Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild diesel engines as needed, replacing or refurbishing parts to restore optimal performance.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, maintenance tasks, parts inventory, and various communications.
- Safety Compliance : Follow safety protocols and ensure all work meets industry regulations and standards.
REQUIREMENTS :
High school diploma or equivalent; diesel mechanic certification preferredKnowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and diagnostic toolsStrong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitudeAbility to lift heavy parts and equipment and work in various environments (garage, field, etc.)WORKING CONDITIONS : This position typically involves working in a garage / repair shop and may require standing for long periods, heavy lifting, and occasional on-site repairs.
