Master’s degree, Anatomic Pathology, or equivalent education / experience Familiarity with Anatomic Pathology procedures, techniques and instrumentation, experience including grossing surgical specimen 3+ years’ experience at a hospital laboratory performing technical duties relating to anatomic pathology ASCP or equivalent certification as a Pathology Assistant Familiarity with Epic Lab information system

Responsibilities
The Pathology Assistant functions as a professional who assumes responsible for assisting the Pathologist with autopsies, performing or assisting in accessioning, dissection, grossing, evisceration, description, and histologic sampling of a full range of surgical specimens under the general supervision of a Pathologist.
