Storage Engineer - Enterprise Storage Administrator

Overview

IDEALFORCE has a Contract position available immediately for a Storage Engineer – Enterprise Storage Administrator to join our customer in Phoenix AZ . This is an On-Site Position. Please respond with your most up to date resume if you would like to pursue this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Storage Administration

• All duties relating to storage administration including but not limited to : design of new and existing installations, the configuration, security and maintenance of highly available enterprise data storage systems
• Skilled at proactive monitoring of the ongoing operation of storage systems and providing utilization reports to identify problems and corrective actions as needed
• Observing performance on FC network and NAS attached storage systems, troubleshoot any performance problems and apply near term fixes that result in long term solutions
• Refresh data from one environment to another at the request of the application or service owner customers
• Provide input for, and develop documentation / standard operating procedures (SOP) that result in repeatable processes for installation and setup and all artifacts that support the rational; -the how and why we did it this way-
• Develop and publish team vetted storage standards and policies as needed
• Follow ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) practices for Change Management
• Includes multiple vendor hardware and software infrastructure
