Position Summary
The Director of Marketing & Communications is a visionary strategist and hands-on leader who drives brand visibility, reputation, and engagement to advance Girl Scouts River Valleys' mission. This role leads marketing, communications, content strategy, and public relations with a focus on measurable outcomes that drive membership, revenue, and program growth. The Director will ensure all communications are aligned with our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and racial justice, and reflect our purpose of becoming an anti-racist organization.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a strategic, creative, and equity-driven leader who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, brand strategy, and measurable impact. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of marketing and communications experience, including proven success leading teams, elevating brand visibility, and driving growth through multi-channel campaigns. They are both a visionary and a hands-on contributor-able to set strategy, mentor staff, and jump in to write, design, or problem-solve when needed. A strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and racial justice is essential, along with the ability to craft culturally relevant messaging that resonates across communities.
