American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Columbus, Ohio.

Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night-shift ICU position in Ohio requiring an active OH or compact license and EPIC EMR competency.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule consists of 3x12 hour shifts : every Friday, Saturday, plus one additional flexible night
  • Typical patient ratios are 1 : 1 to 1 : 2
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Care involves telemetry and ventilator management
  • Utilizes EPIC electronic medical record system; experience required
  • Primary responsibilities include delivering critical care nursing to ICU patients using advanced monitoring and life support equipment
  • RNs are required to complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing; candidates outside Ohio must drive in or complete mailed fingerprinting packets as instructed
  • Locals are accepted for this position
  • Requests for time off must be declared during initial application
  • First-time travelers are considered
  • Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are not eligible
  • Scrub or dress code requirements will be communicated upon assignment

  • Active OH or compact state RN license in hand
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience required
  • Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
  • Proficient in IV starts and telemetry experience expected
  • Ventilator management competency required
  • Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • Two professional references required; at least one must be from a manager, director, or other formal leader (charge RN accepted for second reference)
  • Former employees are eligible after 6 months away from employment
