This is a varied, non-emergency clerical position involving the skillful operation of the computer, radio system, and telephone system in our Police Department. Work involves the performance of a variety of clerical duties including typing, retrieval of documents, and filing. Work is performed under the supervision of the Office Supervisor. Minimum Requirements : High school graduation or equivalent. Basic proficiency in office computer applications. Ability to prepare typed documents with speed and accuracy. Ability to provide effective customer service in person, on the phone, and electronically. Ability to pass a fingerprint background check prior to employment. Desired Qualifications : Experience and / or training in the use of Microsoft Office Suite software. Previous work experience in a law enforcement agency or office setting. Knowledge of the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act. Bilingual.
