Description :

The unit has a total of 36 beds.

Patient ratios are 4 : 1 with cath recovery and may reach a maximum of 6 : 1.

At times, ratios may be stretched to 7 : 1.

Staff includes PCTs on both day and night shifts.

Unit clerks are available on the day shift.

Type of equipment includes remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps.

The documentation system utilized is Meditech.

Scheduling requires every other weekend availability.

Agency staff may float to other units, specifically Ortho / Med-Surg.

Patient experience requirements strive for a 75% patient satisfaction rate.

Unit-specific policies include Telemetry Monitoring Policy and Stroke Policy.

Recognitions within the unit include Daisy and Bee award certificates.

A monthly STAR award winner is selected by staff members.
