Job Description

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety, food safety regulations, and company guidelines.
• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Communicate effectively with team members about company, department, and job-specific information.
• Set performance goals and empower associates to meet or exceed them through teamwork.
• Manage scheduling to handle customer volume.
• Train and develop associates in inventory management, stocking, CAO, Key Retailing, and other tasks.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions and recommending products.
• Offer product samples and inform customers of specials.
• Inspect products for quality and freshness, taking appropriate actions.
• Use Fresh Insights to optimize sell-through and reduce shrinkage.
• Recommend produce items to customers based on their needs.
• Develop and implement a business plan for the department.
• Work in refrigerated areas and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Implement merchandising and promotional plans.
• Maintain current knowledge of advertisements and promotions.
• Monitor and control expenses and inventory conditions.
• Ensure accurate pricing and promotional signage.
• Assist in inventory management and temperature control in cases and coolers.
• Reinforce safety programs, report unsafe conditions, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Report safety risks, accidents, and illegal activities.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
