Summary

Villa's Childcare Center is seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Teacher to join our team. The Assistant Teacher will be responsible for helping the Lead Teacher create a nurturing and engaging learning environment, developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans, and fostering the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children.

This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to upholding our center's mission of providing high-quality childcare and education. The assistant Teacher will maintain classroom safety and organization, and build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

Plan and implement creative, developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children.
Maintain clear and respectful communication with families and staff.
Ensure compliance with state licensing standards, health, and safety regulations.

Duties

Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.

Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.

Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.

Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.

Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.

Follow all center policies and state regulations.

Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

Qualifications :

Registry Level (Wisconsin Early Childhood Career Levels) 5 or higher preferred.

Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Passion for early childhood education and child development.

Willing to take additional regulatory training.
