Join Actalent as a Senior Electrical Project Manager - Data Center. A leading construction firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to support high-profile, complex projects across the U.S.
This role provides technical leadership and oversight of electrical systems from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring best value and performance for clients.
Qualifications
Required :
- 8+ years of experience with a mechanical / electrical contractor or general contractor
- 2+ years of experience in MEP estimating
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical design drawings and specifications for code compliance and constructability
- Ability to develop scope of work documents for electrical and low-voltage subcontractor pricing
- Strong understanding of electrical / mechanical systems and associated construction costs
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients
Preferred :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Construction ManagementFamiliarity with REVIT and AutoCADExperience with estimating softwareProficiency in construction management platforms (e.g., Procore, AutoDesk)Skilled in Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office SuiteCurrent OSHA 30 certification and CPR / First Aid trainingLocation & Travel
This is a travel-based position supporting national operations. The current assignment is with per diem provided at the max GSA rates. Travel home every three weeks (long weekend) is included. Project duration may extend beyond two years.
Responsibilities
Design Review & Preconstruction :
Analyze electrical and CSA design drawings and specificationsIdentify code compliance issues and constructability challengesEvaluate system options to align with project goalsMEP Contractor Selection
Assist in identifying qualified MEP subcontractorsDevelop and issue RFPs and scopes of workReview proposals and scope cards for completenessLead pre-bid meetings and interviewsAssess voluntary alternates and provide selection recommendationsDraft and manage MEP subcontract agreementsConstruction Phase Support
Participate in project team meetings to review MEP pricing and scope coordinationOversee submittals, procurement, manpower planning, and complianceSupport the development of CPM schedules for electrical work, including commissioningPlan and coordinate critical system shutdownsConduct site inspections to identify deficienciesPerform quantity takeoffs and estimate analysisPropose value engineering opportunitiesCommissioning & Closeout
Collaborate with third-party commissioning agentsSupport documentation and log completionCoordinate owner training and transitional servicesPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 / yr.
