job_description.job_card.job_descriptionMaintains stocked supplies and inventory Sterilizes instruments, exam rooms and equipment Performs testing procedures as required Prepares procedure room / area and instructs patients Troubleshoots and maintains equipment Completes daily QA / QC procedures and provides maintenance / adjustments to equipment Performs other duties as assigned Graduation from Medical Assisting program or School of Practical Nursing Current LPN Licensure or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) (LPNs / MAs will have 1 year to become certified in order to maintain employment) Current CPR certification Ability to multi-task Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications Ability to work autonomously and as a team Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem solving skills Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above Knowledge of x-ray safety for patients and personnel Knowledge of proper patient positioning and state radiology regulations Skill in performing quality control and maintaining records Ability to troubleshoot equipment and technique problems Ability to troubleshoot problems with lab testing, equipment, patient samples, and kits Skill in performing quality control and maintaining records Ability to troubleshoot equipment and technique problems EMR experience

Job Functions
When performing nursing support functions
- Escorts patients to examination room and obtains vitals and documents in EMR
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with clinic policies and scope of certification / licensure
- Prepares equipment and assists providers during examination, testing and treatment of patients
- Performs room turn over in patient rooms between cases and at the end of day
- Assists in arranging referrals / prior authorizations as necessary
- Assists with patient education
- Performs other duties as assigned
