Available Position - Patient Advocate / Nurse Navigator

Early, Lucarelli, Sweeney & Meisenkothen, LLC. is an asbestos plaintiffs' law firm serving mesothelioma and lung cancer victims. ELSM is seeking a client service / patient advocate to assist in new client acquisition and existing client services. This unique position combines sales responsibilities, focusing on client acquisition and onboarding in a competitive environment, with peripheral legal and medical knowledge and understanding to help potential clients navigate their medical and legal options. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, compassion, a very flexible work schedule, a background in medical care (and ability to learn key legal nuances), and a passion for client and patient service.

Location :  CT (ability to work from home)

Job Type :  Full-Time

Responsibilities :

  • Engage potential clients through various outreach methods
  • Potentially conduct presentations and meetings to explain services and benefits
  • Manage the client onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition to law firm
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the firm
  • Provide medical guidance to existing clients
  • Time sensitive work (flexibility required – compensated appropriately)

Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in a medical environment is preferred (oncology is a strong plus)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and use is a must (email, text, phone, letter writing).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Proficiency in web and medical and legal research tools (or ability to learn these tools)
  • A background in health care (especially oncology), experience working for a plaintiff's law firm is a plus
