Job Title : IT Coordinator

Department : Administration

Emphasis : IT Coordinator

Location : Onsite

FLSA Status : Exempt

Status : Full Time

Reports to : Director of Finance

Effective Date : January 1, 2024

Job Summary :

The IT Coordinator will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's IT systems and networks, ensuring they run smoothly and effectively. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service to support our internal users. The IT Coordinator will take the lead in communicating technical updates to staff as well as training. Additionally, they will work with staff to ensure that the users' interaction with the software is as smooth and logical as possible. This position plays an integral role in the overall development of the organization.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components of computer systems and networks.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely, or via phone.
  • Respond promptly to user queries and provide technical support.
  • Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
  • Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain updated.
  • Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with IT team members on projects and initiatives.
  • Document processes, procedures, and system configurations.
  • Maintain inventory and asset management records.
  • Train users on new hardware and software applications as needed.
  • Stay current with technological developments in the industry.

Required Skills / Abilities :

  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
  • Familiarity with operating systems and platforms such as Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues methodically.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) are a plus.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and using a computer.
  • This position may require occasional evening and weekend work to perform system upgrades or resolve technical issues.
  • The IT Specialist may need to lift and move computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
  • Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as an IT Specialist or similar role.
  • Experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools, and other IT tools.
  • Ability to work effectively with other disciplines and internal and external providers.
  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a program or project support role.

    Compensation & Merit Increases :

  • The pay range for this position is $58,800 - $70,000 per year.
  • Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.
  • Vacation Leave & Sick Leave, Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance, 401k Plan.
  • Merit increases are based on annual performance reviews.
  • Employees brought in at the top of their pay range will need to transition to a role with greater responsibilities to qualify for further raises.
  • Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

  • This full-time position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Some evening and Saturday work may be required.
  • Work hours are 8 : 00AM – 4 : 30PM, Monday through Friday, but may be adjusted according to business needs. Data Admin I must be logged in and available during these hours, regardless of whether they are working in office or remotely.
  • This role has a flexible schedule. In office and remote scheduled hours may be adjusted with supervisor approval.
