Materials Coordinator
The Materials and Documentation Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of materials used in technical and operational projects, ensuring accurate tracking, usage, and documentation. This role supports cross-functional teams by maintaining organized records, managing inventory, and utilizing documentation tools to streamline communication and compliance.
Responsibilities :
- Track and manage inventory levels of project materials, tools, and supplies.
- Coordinate procurement and delivery schedules to meet project timelines.
- Monitor usage patterns and forecast material needs to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of materials in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve material discrepancies or delays.
- Maintain and update technical documentation related to material specifications, usage logs, and compliance records.
- Utilize platforms such as SharePoint, Power BI, and Siemens Spectrum to manage and share documentation.
- Develop user guides, SOPs, and training materials for documentation tools and processes.
- Support internal communications by drafting clear and effective updates, newsletters, and executive summaries.
- Ensure documentation is version-controlled and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in planning and coordinating work related to material deployment and documentation updates.
- Participate in project meetings to provide updates on material status and documentation progress.
- Support quality control efforts by ensuring documentation aligns with project standards and audit requirements.
Essential Skills :
24 years of experience in materials coordination, technical documentation, or related roles.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Familiarity with documentation standards (APA / MLA) and UX / UI principles.Additional Skills & Qualifications :
Experience with Siemens Spectrum, Power BI, or similar platforms.Experience in utilities, engineering, or technical project environments.Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Technical Communication, Engineering, or related field.Work Environment :
The work environment involves using advanced technologies and platforms such as SharePoint, Power BI, and Siemens Spectrum to manage documentation. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and vendors, ensuring a dynamic and communicative workspace.

This is a Contract position based out of Calera, Alabama.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00 / hr.
