Summary Of Role

Emmanuel is seeking a compassionate, spiritually grounded Biblical Counselor to provide Christ-centered counseling support to men navigating a range of personal, relational, and spiritual challenges. The ideal candidate will have a heart for shepherding others through the lens of Scripture, a strong understanding of biblical truth, and the relational wisdom to guide individuals and couples toward healing, growth, and restoration.

Cultural & Spiritual Expectations Of Staff

At Emmanuel Church, we hold staff accountable to living out our mission of seeing people come to Christ and grow in Christ by relentlessly pursuing those that are far from God. Staff will be active & engaged in the church through serving, participating in a group, attending service, and tithing. They will be spiritual leaders who actively pursue a relationship with Christ and practice spiritual disciplines. All staff agree to abide by staff expectations & uphold the staff values through their daily behaviors and actions, maintaining and contributing to a healthy culture.

• Provide biblically based counseling to men, and their spouse or family when applicable, of Emmanuel Church using established, certified practices and procedures
• Support the intake and scheduling of biblical counseling cases when necessary
• Foster the spiritual growth of Emmanuel Church attendees by connecting counselees to their next step of spiritual growth
• Provide expertise to centralized and campus staff when needed on counseling issues or pastoral care
• When requested, receive overflow or re-directed counseling cases from Lead Pastor's office or Biblical Counseling Director
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with campus leaders
• When appropriate, communicate regularly with campus leaders when counseling attendees of their campus
• Work with Impact Team Director as necessary to recruit and onboard qualified volunteers to support the load of counseling team
• Assist in implementing assigned church-wide initiatives as directed
• Other related tasks as assigned
