Job Description
A Dallas, Texas based client is seeking an exceptional Cardiac Nurse Practitioner with experience in electrophysiology to provide compassionate patient care to all ages. An ideal candidate is motivated, collaborative, and works well in an interdisciplinary team. Candidates must have experience with electrophysiology.
Required Qualifications
TX medical license as NPTX DEA certificateANCC or AANP Certification or EligibilityCPR certification1 year of experienceResponsibilities
Assess and diagnose a variety of acute, episodic, and chronic conditionsPractices as an extender / collaborator for the physicians they supportEvaluates & treats following an established plan of careSupports ancillary staff; sonographers, nurses and medical assistantsResponds to patient callsOrdering, conducting and interpreting diagnostic and laboratory testsPrescriptions of pharmacologic agents and non-pharmacologic therapiesHealth promotions, disease prevention, patient and family teaching and counselingAccountable for knowledge of the statutes and rules relating to advanced practice nursing and function within the boundaries of the advanced practice categoryPerform therapeutic procedures, including preventative care and follow upArrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic servicesChart review and document all patient encounters efficiently and according to organization policy and JCAHO standardsConducts and interprets diagnostic testing to include but not limited to : 12 lead EKG s, Holter Monitors, Event recorders, Pacemaker Interrogation, Bi-V pacemaker optimizations, 2-D echocardiogramsPrescribes medications by virtue of being a physician s primary practice site under Section 3.06(d) (6) of the Texas Medical Practice ActAbout Provider Healthcare
