We are seeking a seasoned Permanent School Speech Language Pathologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will work with a diverse population of students, providing them with the highest level of speech and language therapy services. The role requires a deep understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders, as well as a passion for helping individuals overcome their challenges. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in therapeutic methods and experience using Barium in their practice.
Responsibilities :
1. Assess, diagnose, and treat a broad range of speech, language, and communication disorders among students.
2. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that meet the unique needs of each student.
3. Use Barium and other tools to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of speech and swallowing disorders.
4. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure that students receive integrated and comprehensive care.
5. Provide education and support to family members and caregivers to help them understand and manage the student's disorder.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and treatment plans.
7. Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in speech and language pathology to continually enhance treatment methods.
8. Participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars for professional development and to contribute to the broader educational community.
Qualifications :
1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
2. A valid state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
3. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
4. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, preferably in a school setting.
5. Proven experience in using Barium and other diagnostic and therapeutic tools in treatment.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with students, parents, and school staff.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately diagnose disorders and develop effective treatment plans.
8. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students overcome their challenges.
9. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
10. Up-to-date knowledge of the latest research, advancements, and ethical guidelines in the field of speech and language pathology.
