  • Location : Great Falls, Montana (59405) – Montana nursing jobs\n
  • Healthcare Setting : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital\n
  • Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse\n
  • Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)\n
  • Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week\n
  • Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (August 28, 2025 – November 27, 2025)\n
  • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active Montana RN license (Registered Nurse)\n
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required or obtained within 6 months of hire)\n
  • At least 1 year of recent PCU or acute care nursing experience\n
  • Skilled in operating advanced medical equipment (A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, ventilatory support)\n
  • Proficient in cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation\n
  • Experience with IV medication management (Heparin, Diltiazem, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Amiodarone, Dopamine)\n
  • Pediatric and post heart catheterization experience preferred\n
  • EPNC, TNCC certifications preferred\n
  • \n\nPCU Nurse Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver high-quality patient care to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients in the PCU\n
  • Provide comprehensive physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support\n
  • Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition\n
  • Operate and manage advanced medical equipment, including central lines, chest tubes, and ventilatory support\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes\n
  • Serve as a clinical leader and preceptor for nursing staff\n
  • Coordinate care with RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Housekeeping, and Dietary staff\n
  • Manage patient care from admission through discharge, including discharge planning\n
  • Support the Medical Surgical Nursing Unit as needed\n
