job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPartners with leaders to support high-profile projects that transform the way we care for patients across our health system, often acting as a strategic advisor system-wide projects sponsored by C-Suite team members. Leads cross-functional teams through a methodical process to assess, improve and sustain results while leveraging Project Management and Continuous Improvement best practices. Develops and delivers project communications which includes executive-level presentations. Coaches clinical and system service team members (executive and c-suite leaders) in Continuous Improvement fundamentals. Applies and teaches the Continuous Improvement toolset (DMAIC, process mapping, standard work, visual management, as examples) for use in a variety of settings including clinical, support, and executive. Participates in creating and promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the team and across the organization by encouraging employees to identify areas for improvement and contributing to the development of a more efficient and effective organization. Mentors and supports the members of the Continuous Improvement team to advance their technical and adaptive skills. May perform other duties as assigned. Education : Bachelor's degree in relevant field (or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree) Experience : 5 years of experience with Toyota Production System fluency Certification : Six Sigma Black Belt within 6 months of hire Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred). Experience leading cross-functional process improvement initiatives in a hospital or healthcare environment. Proven ability to analyze complex workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement data-driven solutions to enhance quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes. Proficiency in data analysis, performance metrics, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or other analytics software). Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive measurable results. Excellent communication, collaboration, and change management skills to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Inova Center of Personalized Health is looking for a dedicated Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist to join the team. This role will be full-time day shift from Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. - 5 : 00 p.m.
The Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist leads a team through complex problem-solving and facilitates cross-functional teams. Advises the executive leadership team, while using continuous improvement and project management methodologies to drive initiatives forward
