Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Dickson, TN 37055 (Tennessee nursing jobs)

Setting : Women’s Services – LDRP Unit (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)

Employment Type : Travel Nursing Assignment

Assignment Duration : 12 weeks (Start : 10 / 6 / 2025 – End : 12 / 29 / 2025)

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM), 3 shifts per week

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1990 - $2130

Unit Details : LDRP (9 beds), OBED (1 bed), NICU (4 beds), 1 OR suite

Patient Ratios : 1 : 1 for active labor, inductions, C-sections; 1 : 3 for couplet care; 1 : 1 for newborns until stable; NICU 1 : 3 intermediate care

Documentation : Meditech and CPN systems

Dress Code : Pink and / or brown scrubs per infant security policy

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse)

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience (charge nurse experience required)

BLS and NRP certifications

Fetal Monitoring training

Experience with inductions (Pitocin, Cervidil), shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and OB emergencies preferred

Strong assessment skills for mothers and newborns

Ability to float within facility as needed

L&D RN Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care for laboring mothers, including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum support

Transition and assess newborns, including stabilization and ongoing monitoring

Perform and assist with procedures such as C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, and vacuum / forceps-assisted deliveries

Utilize advanced equipment including CPN central monitoring, IV pumps, infant warmers, tele-med robot for neonatologist, bili-blankets, and PCA pumps

Document patient care accurately using Meditech and CPN systems

Participate in daily patient and safety rounding

Collaborate with a highly experienced team of Registered Nurses (RNs), many with 7–30 years of tenure

Maintain compliance with unit policies and procedures
