Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant :

As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing critical accounting operations for the company's broker-dealer division. Your role as a Staff Accountant will include :

Financial Reporting & Reconciliation : Prepare and maintain financial statements by GAAP and broker-dealer requirements.

Regulatory Compliance & Filings : Handle FINRA, SEC, FOCUS reports, SIPC filings, and other key regulatory submissions.

General Ledger Oversight : Reconcile transactions related to commissions, fees, and trade settlements to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Capital Monitoring : Ensure compliance with SEC Rules 15c3-1 and 15c3-3, performing net capital and reserve calculations.

Audit Readiness : Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors, as well as regulatory examiners.

Collaborative Operations : Partner with compliance and operations teams to manage financial controls around margin and cash flow.

Process Optimization : Improve reporting processes and internal controls as a proactive Staff Accountant.

Preferred Qualifications for the Staff Accountant :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience

Experience with broker-dealer accounting or financial services is highly desirable
