Legal Assistant
We are looking for a specialized Legal Secretary / Assistant to undertake a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. You will work under the supervision of an attorney and will also provide support in assigned legal cases.
The goal is to sustain efficiency of all office procedures and case management so as to guarantee reliability and consistency.
Legal Assistant / Secretary Responsibilities and Duties :
- Provide administrative support to attorney
- Manage portfolio of cases in case management system using daily task list
- Produce and file various legal documents
- Effectively communicating with witnesses, clients, colleagues and attorneys
- Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and provide timely reminders
- Other duties as assigned
- Process incoming mail and email.
- Prepare, e-file, and process pleadings and orders.
- Communication with clients and / or third parties.
- Prepare files for court appearances.
Qualifications and Skills :
Proven working experience as Legal Assistant or Legal SecretaryFamiliarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court systemSatisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal officeComputer literacyProficiency in EnglishWorking knowledge of case management softwareExcellent secretarial, time management and organizational skillsAbility to juggle multiple activities and work under pressureAbility to multitask and being comfortable dealing with a diverse pool of peopleKnowledge of legal terminology, regulations and court system1 Year Experience preferred but not requiredComputer SkillsExcellent Typing SkillsHigh volume requires multi-taskingAbility to maintain confidentialityDetail orientedAbility to work quickly, efficiently and independentlyOpportunity for advancement for highly self-motivated individuals.Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracyComfortable working independently and in a team environmentStrong attention to detailStrong organizational and time management skillsProficient computer skillsresponsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Benefits
