About The Position

Must-Have :

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting.
• Must have active Kentucky License or Compact License.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications are required.
• Candidates must have 3 or more years of Labor and Delivery experience.
• Candidates must be able to circulate for cesarean sections.

Description :

The unit consists of 7 Labor and Delivery beds.

There are also 14 Mother-Baby beds and a Level 2 NICU / NB Nursery.

The unit has a staff of 58, including RNs, Obstetric Techs, and unit clerks.

Patient ratios are 2 : 1 in Labor and Delivery and 6-8 : 1 in Mother-Baby.

The NICU ratio is 1 : 4, depending on acuity.

The type of equipment used includes Alaris pumps, Corometrics fetal monitors, and Ranger fluid warmers.

EMR systems in use include Meditech Expanse and Centricity Perinatal.

Typical procedures performed include vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and labor induction.

Blood draws, IV insertion, and sterile vaginal exams are also routine.

Assisting with epidurals and foley catheter placements are common tasks.

Team players who are adaptable and willing to collaborate are highly valued.

Weekend shifts will be required, typically every other weekend.

Dress code includes provided scrubs for infant security.
