About The Position

Medix is seeking an experienced and dedicated Travel Mammography Technologist to join our client's team in North Palm Beach, Florida starting ASAP!   This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled clinician to take on a 13-week travel assignment in sunny FL.

As a Travel Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures. We are looking for a clinician who is proficient, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent patient care, and ideally with 3+ years of experience.

Location : North Palm Beach, Florida

Facility Type : Internal imaging department

Start Date : ASAP

Length of Assignment : Approximately 13 weeks (520 hours)

Schedule / Shift : Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM

State License : Florida (CRT)

Pay : Compensation and potential stipends will be discussed in detail with your Medix recruiter, taking into account experience and assignment specifics.

Responsibilities and Procedures Performed :

Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures.

Conduct stereotactic-guided breast biopsies.

Perform bone density (DEXA) scans.

Perform general X-rays.

Assist with biopsy positioning and procedures.

Adhere to all safety and quality control standards.

Current daily volume includes approximately 4 breast biopsies, 10 bone density scans, and a high volume of mammography procedures (when fully staffed, approximately every 15 minutes).

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications :

Minimum of 3 years of experience in mammography and stereotactic-guided breast biopsies.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in bone density and general x-ray.

Current and valid Florida State License (CRT) .

Current and valid Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry.

Current and valid Mammography (M) registry ( ARRT (M) certification is required).

Current CPR Certification .

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with Epic EMR is preferred but not required.

Experience with PACS Agfa is preferred but not required.
