The Product Planning and Strategy Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Senior Pricing Strategist to join the PPS team. PPS plays a leading role in understanding the wants and needs of our target customers and translating these into product concepts and pricing strategies that maximize business objectives.
The primary responsibility of this role, reporting to the Pricing Manager, is to lead the development, approval, and execution of pricing strategies that balance the needs of the market while supporting volume and profit targets for both Toyota and Lexus vehicles.
The Senior Planner will build strong working relationships across TMNA to understand and align go-to-market strategies from sales teams and enterprise profitability objectives.
What you'll be doing
- Develop market-based price strategies and proposals, while maximizing volume and profit for Toyota and Lexus vehicles
- Present price proposals with market analysis to sales, marketing, and finance executive management for approval
- Monitor competitive pricing landscape and recommend actions and solutions in response to market environment
- Collaborate with Product Planning to understand vehicle objectives, competitive landscape, and grade strategies
- Partner with Marketing groups to develop tactical marketing and pricing strategies to increase volume and improve customer value
- Work closely with Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) and engineering to negotiate vehicle pricing and build consensus
Prepare and distribute internal and external pricing information across the organization and to external business partners
Maintain pricing documents and perform pricing operations in accordance with internal processes and governmental regulations

Bachelor's degreeExpertise in quantitative analysis and developing concise and convincing strategic stories that are supported with dataFamiliarity with consumer market research concepts and data analysis toolsSignificant experience with quantitative and qualitative modeling and scenario analysesStrong communication, presentation and negotiation skills to persuade all levels of management across departments, divisions, and Toyota affiliates.Adeptness at thinking strategically and formulating concrete recommendations and action plansStrong project management skills requiring detail orientation, strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects of varying size and level of involvementStrong Microsoft Office skills required with emphasis on advanced Excel functionsAdded bonus if you have
