OWL is seeking a Field Installation and Lab Support Technician to join our growing team! This hands-on role supports both in-lab and field operations, including the assembly of components, coordination of installations, and direct interaction with customers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable with travel, and capable of managing diverse technical tasks across installation, diagnostics, and inventory.
Responsibilities :
- Support laboratory operations weekly, completing varied tasks based on project needs when not traveling.
- Assemble cables, SCMs (Sensor Control Modules), and mounting hardware for customer deliveries.
- Assist in shipping and receiving logistics to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Assemble and modify new-style PoE injectors and other electronic components as required.
- Build Modules and coordinate with the contractors to determine shipping dates and site installation timelines.
- Maintain and update the customer backlog and SOS inventory records, including build-outs and shipments.
- Participate in customer support calls and assist with scheduling and updating site installation timelines.
- Support with maintenance and service schedule of company vehicle, including oil changes and general upkeep.
- Respond to on-site support calls for customers
- Travel to customer locations for radar and hardware installations, system integration, diagnostics, repairs, and hardware swaps.
- Clean, organize, and reset the high bay area to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.5+ years of experience in product assembly.Travel- 25%Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Willingness to learn new skills and techniques.Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand and sit for long periods of time.Some experience building mil-spec cables.Working ability to solder cables and PCB assemblies.Ability to be organized and keep detailed records.Intrinsic ability to take positive initiatives in the absence of direct orders.Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions.Understand and can abide by safety procedures and be safety minded.Additional Information :
