Job Description

Production Lead (Controls Technician)

HOLLAND, MI USA

Main Responsibilities :

System Development and Maintenance

oBuild, inspect, and repair measurement systems, including laser engraving and soldering components.

oTroubleshoot and resolve hardware issues.

oCalibrate sensors and systems for accuracy and reliability.

oDesign and construct electrical panels.

oConduct system testing to ensure functionality and quality.

oProvide troubleshooting assistance for electrical and automation issues.

oDesign and Documentation

oCreate and update simple electrical schematics.

oSource and procure electrical and mechanical components, including identifying alternatives when needed.

oManage project Bills of Materials (BOMs) and associated documentation.

System Installation and Configuration

oOversee system installation at customer sites.

oConfigure OPC (e.g., KepwareEX) systems for seamless integration.

Leadership Responsibilities

oMaintain shop organization and implement 5S principles.

oOptimize production efficiency.

oDevelop and maintain job aids, checklists, and operational guidelines.

Qualifications :

5–10 years of experience in controls engineering.

Proficient in PLC communication protocols and ladder logic programming.

Skilled in creating and interpreting electrical schematics.

Strong knowledge and experience with low-voltage systems, including troubleshooting and diagnosis.

Competence in operating hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and fault-testing devices.

Basic computer proficiency.

Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.

Excellent analytical, facilitation, and organizational capabilities.

Work Location :

Office located in Holland, MI USA

Travel to customer locations – up to 20%
