Position Overview

Compensation Range

$25.27 - $37.90 per hour, depending on experience

Job Responsibilities

Perform patient care assignments within the LPN scope of practice to ensure safety and deliver an exceptional patient experience.

Promote and maintain compliance with Joint Commission, NYS Department of Health, Infection Control, and all applicable regulatory standards.

Under the direction of a provider or RN, educate patients and families on health promotion, disease management, and available resources.

Utilize pharmacology knowledge to safely administer medications in accordance with UHS Hospitals policies and procedures.

Maintain CLIA Waived Lab standards by performing lab tests, quality controls, and proficiency validations, including tri-annual AAFP testing and credentialing as required.

Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure seamless coordination of care and optimal outcomes.

Participate in quality improvement activities, review PI data, and assist in developing and implementing improvement plans.

Engage in ongoing educational opportunities to maintain competency and support continuous learning.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Required :

Graduated an accredited school of Practical Nursing

Current New York State Practical Nurse License or Permit

Preferred

Experience working in critical care or hospital environment

Basic Skills Certifications (CPR)
