Certified Surgical Technologist First Assist (Travel)

Location : Hendersonville, NC

Our travel nurse staffing agency is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) First Assist for an exciting travel contract in Hendersonville, North Carolina. This opportunity offers petitive pay, prehensive benefits, and the chance to make an impact while exploring a new location.

Assignment Details :

Travel / contract role

13-week assignment with option to extend

Full-time schedule, 3640 hours per week

Day shift with possible call or weekend rotations

Start date : ASAP or based on candidate availability

Job Requirements :

Provide direct assistance to surgeons during operative procedures

Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment efficiently

Maintain a sterile field and ensure proper aseptic techniques

Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and draping

Monitor equipment, anticipate surgical needs, and ensure smooth workflow

Support the surgical team in preoperative and postoperative duties

Needed Qualifications :

Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required

First Assist certification or documented First Assist experience required

Current BLS certification

At least 2 years of recent CST First Assist experience in an operating room setting

Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques

Excellent munication and teamwork skills
