Material Handler

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management : Manage and monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and ensure accurate recording of stock. Address discrepancies and update records as needed.Order Fulfillment : Supervise and participate in the picking, packing, and shipping processes. Ensure that orders are filled accurately and dispatched in a timely manner.Material Handling : Operate and maintain advanced warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, reach trucks, and palletizers. Ensure proper handling and storage of materials. Cycle counting experience preferredDocumentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, shipments, and receipts. Prepare reports on inventory levels, order status, and operational metrics.Safety and Compliance : Enforce safety regulations and practices to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Customer Service : Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to material handling or order fulfillment, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.Your Profile / Qualifications
Education : High school diploma or equivalent; certifications in warehouse operations or material handling preferred.Experience : Previous warehouse experience with expertise in inventory management and equipment operation.A minimum of 1 year of forklift experienceStrong understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse procedures. Cycle counting experience is a plusPhysical Requirements : Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items safely; stand / walk for extended periods.Attention to Detail : Ensure accuracy in all inventory and shipping activities.Problem-Solving : Identify and resolve discrepancies or process inefficiencies.Technical Skills : Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic data entry.Equipment Operation : Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse machinery.Time Management & Flexibility : Meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and work efficiently under pressure.Communication : Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow written / verbal instructions.Work Environment : Comfortable working in various conditions, including outdoor temperatures.The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $20-$22 per hour. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
