Qualifications

Purpose & Scope :

The Lead Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Sonographer plays a pivotal role in both performing advanced diagnostic ultrasound procedures and assist the MFM Clinical Sonographer Manager by overseeing the daily operations of the sonography team. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality imaging services and collaborates closely with the MFM Clinical Sonography Manager to maintain excellence in patient care and departmental efficiency.

The Lead MFM Sonographer works in tandem with the MFM Clinical Sonography Manager to align clinical practices with organizational goals. The Lead Sonographer focuses on day-to-day clinical operations and team supervision. Together, they ensure that the sonography services are both clinically proficient and operationally efficient.

The Lead MFM Sonographer serves as a bridge between the clinical team and management, ensuring that high standards of patient care are met through effective leadership, collaboration, and adherence to best practices in maternal-fetal medicine sonography.

Education :

Associate’s degree in radiography is required or,

Graduate of an accredited certificate program for radiography is required

Experience :

Five (5) years' experience in perinatology is required;

Supervisory experience is preferred.

Certification / Licensure :

Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is required.
