Water Resources Engineer / Designer

Summary : A full-service engineering firm in Charlotte, North Carolina, is seeking a Water Resources Engineer / Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stormwater drainage planning, research, modeling, and design. Salary Range : $75,000 - $115,000 (Based on education & experience). Competitive base salary that is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities :

• Plan, design, and develop stormwater drainage solutions for roadway and street projects.
• Conduct research, modeling, and analysis to support project planning and execution.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for design and drafting.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare reports, calculations, and project documentation.
• Assist with permitting and regulatory coordination.

Required Qualifications & Experience :

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 4 years of experience in stormwater drainage design, particularly for roadway and street drainage.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience with one or more of the following software is a plus :

ICPR

Work Environment : Office and occasional Site Visit. Work Location - In person. Schedule - Monday to Friday.
