Accountant II
The Accountant II is responsible for processing and maintaining accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and other accounting records as directed by the Controller.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborates with leadership and others to successfully execute various accounting tasks.
- Effectively completes a variety of clerical tasks and responsibilities.
- Enters daily transactions into accounting software.
- Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Reviews all vendor invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Prints and obtains signatures on all Accounts Payable checks.
- Maintains all Accounts Payable and Receivable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate accounts payable files.
- Reconciles bank statements and ledgers.
- Assists with customer invoicing and account collections.
- Completes customer credit memos and runs credit card payments.
- Performs account reconciliations for various customers.
- Assists in monthly closings performs GL account reconciliations as needed.
- Assists in filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations.
- Performs filing and copying.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
Job Qualifications
4-year degree in accounting or related field, and / or comparable experience preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).Strong Excel skills preferred.Proficiency with general ledger accounting software.Able to read, analyze, and interpret important instructions, guidelines, and / or communications and respond accordingly.Excellent verbal and written communication.Competencies

Requires the ability to tolerate unpleasant odors associated with eggs and poultry of various quality.Normal corrective vision range, ability to see color and distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.Frequently required to sit, walk, talk, hear, bend, and reach.This position may require heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs.
