Itron is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team in Waseca, MN. The role involves designing, testing, and supporting electronic components and systems for metering and smart grid applications. Candidates should have a strong foundation in analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout, and troubleshooting. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative energy solutions in a collaborative engineering environment.

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Demonstrates proficiency with electrical design and theory
• Design, develop, test and trouble shoot analog, digital and RF circuits
• Use lab equipment for circuit development
• Verify that designs meet requirements through analysis, simulation, and measurement. Compares results to theory and documents results
• Write design specifications, test plans, reports, project documentation, etc.
• Analyze data and make recommendations
• Provide technical support to factory, service and other internal departments
• Work closely with other design disciplines (embedded software, PCB layout, mechanical engineer, etc.)
• Play a key role in the design validation cycle
• Lead and participate in design reviews
• Work with and accept mentoring from more senior designers
