We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to help lead our team responsible for building, managing, maintaining and scaling operational infrastructure on which our mission-critical services are deployed or depend. Responsibilities :

• Participate in technical designs for software solutions that combine Open-Source components, COTS (commercial off the shelf) components, and custom developed components
• Installation, configuration and maintenance of production, QA and development environments in which Verisign applications are deployed; environments include servers, operating systems, OpenStack, and automation tools
• Development of deployment automation tools including Ansible
• Development of enabling infrastructure using Terraform
• Coordination with other technical staff to implement systems and software
• Performance of occasional operations support functions, including problem isolation and resolution
• Documentation of processes, procedures, configurations, and deployment plans
• Provide critical technical leadership in the areas of operational process and change management, and mentor less experienced engineers
• Regularly reporting progress to management
• Participate in a 24x7 on call rotation

This position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a hybrid work schedule and and offers a hybrid work schedule.

The pay range is $108,900 - $147,300.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
