In this vital role, you'll be the operational backbone for the DD and AD Waiver Service Coordinators and Clinical Team, providing day-to-day support to the Deputy Director and internal teams. You’ll help ensure efficient office operations, manage schedules and communications, and contribute to key program processes—all while making a meaningful impact on the lives of Nebraskans.

What You’ll Do
Provide administrative and clerical support to the Deputy Director and unit staff
Manage calendars, coordinate meetings, schedule appointments, and prepare meeting agendas and minutes
Organize and maintain documentation, assist with data entry, and ensure accuracy in reports and forms
Handle incoming communications and assist in preparing professional correspondence
Support internal and external meetings — from scheduling and setup to follow-up and materials distribution
Answer and route phone calls, providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Help review and format documents, policies, and reports for clarity and accuracy
Collaborate with staff to support smooth office operations and ongoing projects
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
Associate degree in public or business administration, accounting, or any discipline related to the work assigned. One year of experience in administrative, business management or technical support work including collecting and interpreting statistical, financial, program, or administrative data; or interpreting laws, rules, regulations, and processes. Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Two years of experience providing administrative support in an office, government, or human services environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
Knowledge of budgeting, procurement or contract processes
Strong skills in data analysis, report writing, and project management
Key Skills & Competencies
Excellent communication skills — written and verbal
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
